Helios Unites Three Moroccan Tech Firms to Build Major Digital Infrastructure Platform

Helios‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Investment Partners Morocco strategically combined the top three Moroccan technology companies to establish a Morocco digital infrastructure platform. This platform is designed to not only revive the Morocco technology sector but also to extend the services to the entire North Africa and Southern Europe. The statement dated 8 December 2025, indicates the new organization as a leading figure in Moroccan data centres, cloud services North Africa, and cybersecurity Morocco.

This integrated solution of the platform includes the cloud, which is the most secure hybrid cloud Morocco, hardware, and systems integration to meet the local and regional requirements. The decision is a reflection of the confidence level of the investors in digital infrastructure Morocco which is in sync with the rising demand of enterprises and governments for locally hosted digital services. The platform supports the public sector digital transformation Morocco by reducing the reliance on external providers through the anchoring of critical workloads within Moroccan data centres. The strategy is also in line with the current North Africa digital infrastructure investment trend as regional governments are speeding up digitisation.

How the Platform Came Into Being

Helios Investment Partners Morocco, to build this Morocco hybrid cloud platform 3MDC, merged three companies that are highly specialised in different aspects of digital infrastructure.

  • Maroc Datacentre, a Tier 3 Moroccan data centre provider has been instrumental in providing carrier neutral colocation and hosting services that are the core of secure digital infrastructure Morocco.
  • Munisys in collaboration with the customers, digital platforms, and by offering advanced cybersecurity Morocco solutions for enterprise and government clients, provides on-premises and hybrid cloud Morocco environment expertise, systems integration, and cybersecurity.
  • Medasys is an IT company in Morocco which possesses a deep local knowledge and is well-versed in the provision of sector-specific technology services that can enhance local delivery and increase compliance capabilities.

Helios combined these three companies to establish a Morocco digital infrastructure platform 3MDC which can compete with global providers and at the same time maintain a solid local presence. The transaction was financed by Helios and its partner Fipar Holding, a subsidiary of CDG Invest. Helios IV owns 44 per cent of the platform, Fipar owns 40 per cent, and founders and management have 16 per cent.

Strategic Goals and Market Focus

3MDC set as the main goal to be the leading Morocco digital infrastructure platform services provider that can compete with international ones but still be aligned with local needs. The company plans to focus on the following areas: public sector digital transformation Morocco, enterprise cloud adoption by hybrid cloud Morocco architectures, advanced cybersecurity Morocco, and partnership with global technology vendors.

As a result of the platform, which has a Moroccan base, the cloud services North Africa can be expanded to meet the needs of sovereign data hosting and regulatory compliance. Helios Investment Partners Morocco pointed out that secure, sustainable infrastructure is a must for long term economic growth and for the positioning of Morocco as a regional hub for Morocco technology services.

Leadership and Industry Perspectives

Babatunde Soyoye, co-founder and managing partner of Helios Investment Partners Morocco, commented that the fusion results in a unique digital infrastructure Morocco platform that can facilitate secure expansion across sectors. Munisys CEO Younes Peter Amine said that with Helios support, they will be able to extend their hybrid cloud and cybersecurity offerings in Morocco while maintaining high levels of resilience and reliability.

Legal advisor DLA Piper through its Casablanca team assisted Helios in the transaction. Camilia Benani of DLA Piper pointed out that the continuous North Africa digital infrastructure investment is turning Morocco into an innovation hub and a place for long-term capital.

Future Plans Beyond Morocco

3MDC creation is a part of Helios wider plan in digital infrastructure. In the early part of 2025, Helios took a majority stake in the Telecom Egypt data centre assets, thereby, reaffirming its commitment to the expansion of Moroccan data centres expertise and cloud services North Africa.

As the Helios Morocco digital infrastructure platform grows, it will be able to not only facilitate the public sector digital transformation Morocco but also enhance enterprise cloud adoption and promote economic development. If the platform is able to place the critical systems locally, then it can not only reduce the dependence on external providers but also position Morocco as one of the pillars of the North Africa digital infrastructure ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌investment.
